A MAN has been robbed of his iPod in Kidderminster.

The incident happened in Broad Street between about 4.45pm and 5.35pm on Wednesday.

The victim had placed an advert in a shop to sell his MP3 player and was contacted by someone who arranged to meet him outside the Peacock pub, in Horsefair.

The man then led the victim to the junction of Broad Street and Churchfields, where he grabbed the Apple iPod Mini out of the victim's hands and walked off in the direction of St Mary's Church. The victim sustained a minor finger injury as he tried to hold on to the iPod but did not require medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, with short, dark hair and wearing a navy blue hoody.

PC Tom Court of West Mercia Police said: "The victim has told police many motorists were nearby and would have witnessed what occurred. He said he tried to flag some down and shouted for help but no one stopped.

"I am appealing for witnesses, in particular motorists who may have seen what occurred, to contact me."

Anyone with information should call PC Court on 101, quoting incident 507-s-260214.
