A KIDDERMINSTER man is awaiting sentence at Worcester Crown Court after pleading guilty to a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Michael Downs, 22,of Adams Court, Greenhill, was remanded on bail until June 19 for pre-sentence and psychiatric reports.
Paul Whitfield, prosecuting, said a basis of plea had been accepted that Downs did not kick his victim Michael Griffin in an incident on November 20 last year.
Mr Griffin had suffered a fracture of the hip but this could not have been foreseen. The defendant still accepted, however, there had been gouging of the eyes.
Abigail Nixon, defending, said Downs had suffered psychiatric difficulties since the death of his father.
