MOTOWN and soul hits have helped a community choir raise over £500 for Kemp Hospice.
The group Got 2 Sing, which included more than 200 singers from its Bewdley and Worcester choirs, performed songs including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and Amazing Grace at Kidderminster Town Hall last Saturday.
The Mayor of Kidderminster and the Mayoress of Bewdley attended the event, which raised money through raffle sales.
Beth Dunn, founder and director of Got 2 Sing, said: "It was an amazing evening. The atmosphere was wonderful and we are all delighted with the amount raised for Kemp Hospice, such a worthwhile local cause."
Kevin Hateley, head of fundraising at Kemp Hospice, said: "We had a fantastic evening and would like to thank Got 2 Sing for supporting us and raising awareness of the care that the hospice provides for the community at large, which makes a huge difference to families and carers. In total we raised £500.04 - an amazing amount."
