THE memory of a soldier killed in Afghanistan will be honoured by a charity motorcycle ride which will pass through Kidderminster.
Private Conrad Lewis was the 353rd British soldier to be killed in Afghanistan and his parents, Tony and Sandra, set up 353, a small charity to raise funds to help various other military-based charities.
The ride will see around 1,000 bikers start at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire and travel through Worcestershire before finishing at the Food Stop Cafe in Quatt, near Bridgnorth.
The procession of motorcycles will be in Kidderminster at around 11am on Sunday, July 20, passing into the town from Comberton Road and Comberton Hill, turning right on to The Ringway before heading to Quatt on Proud Cross Ringway and Franche Road.
Nick Ward, organiser of the event, said: “If any members of the public would like to turn out and give us a wave they would be more than welcome. It will be quite a sight to see.”
