WARTIME Britain will come to life at Severn Valley Railway during two vintage weekends.

The Step Back to the 1940s events will feature historical cars, a military aeroplane and performances by re-enactment groups.

Clare Gibbard, marketing and communications manager of Severn Valley Railway, said: “It is easy to see why our 1940s weekends are among our most popular events and this year’s Blackout Fair should really enhance the family fun element.

“Everyone involved is 100 per cent immersed in the spirit of the era, making for a truly memorable day out for all ages.”
