UP to 20 fitness instructors will come together this weekend in Kidderminster to host a new fitness event to raise funds for Kemp Hospice.

Commit to Fit will take place at Brinton Park on Saturday (July 15).

Organised by local fitness instructor Lisa Bradbury at LJ Fitness and Dale Evans, sports development officer at Wyre Forest District Council, the event is suitable for the whole family with fitness activities for both adults and children.

Lisa said: "You will be able to take part in as many of the activates as you wish during the day, such as Fitstep, bootcamp, HIIT training, yoga, pilates, Nordic walking, aerobics and Zumba.

"It is a great opportunity for you to try that new fitness you have always wanted to try without having to go to a class."

A number of activities have been planned for children including football sessions, basketball, gymnastics, martial arts, Zumba for kids and cheerleading.

Dale added: "We have also organised a children's run around Brinton Park.

"The 1.2km run will be fully marshalled and designed to get children interested in running.

"For the adults, we will be holding an adult lap challenge and we are encouraging people to see how many laps they can do in an hour."

You can register in advance to take part in Commit to Fit by visiting kemphospice.org.uk or by calling the Kemp Hospice events team on 01562 756077.

Registration for adults will cost £10 and children £5 to include all the activities throughout the day.
