BESW IS COMING!
Citizens Advice is running Big Energy Saving Week (22nd - 27th October 2012)...a National Campaign to help people cut their fuel bills and get all the financial help they are entitled to.
Wyre Forest Citizens Advice Bureau will be holding events, some of them in conjunction with Wyre Forest Council during this week to help people save money on their energy bills before winter kicks in.....some may feel its been winter all year!
Citizens Advice volunteers will be helping people check to see if they are getting the best deals from their energy company and are on the cheapest tariffs. They will explain how people might save more money by switching suppliers, plus they will be giving energy saving tips and talking about ways to insulate homes, sometimes free of charge......it really is free!
More and more people are coming to us for advice on how to spend less on their fuel bills and how to manage costs. Whilst we continue to help people on a daily basis with face to face and online advice, there is a real need to reach out to more people who are struggling......Big Energy Savings Week will enable us to do just that.
In January of this year the first Big Energy Savings Week was launched and 75,000 people were given advice nationally. This time it will be even bigger!
Citizens Advice have joined forces with Energy Saving Trust to give people expert tips and information on how to cut the amount of energy they use.
Here are some of the weeks events in Kidderminster:
Luncheon Clubs at Age UK on Tuesday and Friday Morning
Energy Advice Surgery at Kidderminster Hub on Tuesday
Market Stall at Kidderminster Market on Thursday
