KIDDERMINSTER Lions under-15s were a roaring success last season as they won two trophies and finished runners-up in their league.

The team defeated Badsey to win the Worcestershire under-15s Sunday Cup and edged Withymoor Colts to secure the Kidderminster Harriers Junior Hospital Cup.

They also came very close to securing a third trophy, when they were edged out by Worcester Colts in the Stourport and District Boys League.

Lions drew 3-3 with Worcester, which was enough for Worcester to win the title and leave Kidderminster runners-up.

Manager Tony Maffei said: "This is a great achievement by the whole squad, they thoroughly deserve to win some silverware."
