Estate agent Shipways in Hagley is holding an Easter egg tombola to help raise money for the company’s chosen charity CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families.

The tombola started on Monday 24 March and runs until Tuesday 22 April at the branch on Worcester Road, Hagley where staff are hoping that local firms and customers will support them by donating an Easter egg for the event, or even take part to raise money.

“We’re looking forward to holding this special Easter fundraiser to raise money for such a worthy cause, as well as welcoming customers, members of the public and local businesses.

"Those who pick a winning ticket on the tombola will win an Easter egg and all proceeds from the event will go to CLIC Sargent,” says Simon White, Branch Manager of Shipways.

CLIC Sargent has one simple aim, to reduce the impact of childhood cancer. CLIC Sargent is there from the point of diagnosis and helps the whole family cope with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.

As well as providing specialist children’s cancer nurses, emotional and financial support, they also provide homes from home close to specialist cancer centres so parents can stay nearby during their child’s treatment.
