A farrier products business is proving a “shoe-in” at Redditch’s first speculative industrial development in many years.

It means three out of the seven new units at Hepworth Park have now been taken with the help of property agents John Truslove and law firm Kerwoods Solicitors.

Two further units are under offer, leaving only two remaining.

John Truslove is marketing the properties on behalf of landlords and developers Fox Industrial Services while Kerwoods is handling the legal agreements.

Ian Parker, a John Truslove director, said: “We are pleased with the way things are going – there has been a lot of interest.”

Ashley Gurr, head of commercial at Redditch-based Kerwoods, said: “Our fast response has enabled tenants to get established in double quick time.”

Based in Cheshire, B.L. Farrier Supplies has launched the new outlet to target farriers and vets across the Midlands.

Products include different types of riding shoes and plates, hoof repair items, forges, and farrier tools including knives, hoof testers, hammers and tongs.

The offer takes in a nationwide next day delivery service.

B.L. Farrier Supplies joins a vehicle conversion company and a cosmetics and accessories business on the park – off Brook Street in the Lakeside district of Redditch.

The remaining high specification units are available on new leases from £11,750 plus VAT per annum.

Mr Parker said: “Hepworth Park is a much needed development for the town, where the lack of supply of new commercial premises is starting to have a detrimental effect on jobs with key employers being forced to look outside the area for suitable premises.

“We expected the units to be snapped up and that is proving to be the case. Indeed we are hopeful that negotiations on two others will soon come to a conclusion.”

The lofty warehouse/industrial units have eaves to over 20 feet high, can be adapted and fitted to individual tenant requirements, there is generous parking provision along with space for loading and unloading plus easy access to the M42 and M5.
