With their first baby on the way, Marius Nenu and his partner Alina Lupu-Dragomir have found the perfect place to raise a family at Meadow Fields, Taylor Wimpey’s popular development in the picturesque Warwickshire village of Bidford-on-Avon.

The couple, who are expecting a baby boy in June, received the keys to their stunning three-bedroom ‘Yewdale’ at Meadow Fields at the end of January and are now more excited than ever to welcome their new arrival.

Marius (27) says: “We decided we wanted to buy our first home together last year and had been shopping around for a little while. We were originally looking at two-bedroom houses because we didn’t think we’d be able to afford a three-bedroom property with our budget.

“To be honest we started to feel that new-build homes were too expensive – but then we stumbled across Meadow Fields and that’s when we realised we could get more for our money with Taylor Wimpey than with other developers.

“As soon as we saw the ‘Yewdale’ we knew straight away it was right up our alley! We really liked the layout of the development too – you can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into the planning.

“We were previously renting a Taylor Wimpey house in Warwick so we knew the quality of build was of a good standard – we like how energy-efficient Taylor Wimpey homes are.”

As well as falling in love with the property design and development layout, Marius and Alina (32) were also very impressed with the local area.

“The development is in a really nice area and Bidford-on-Avon has a lovely village feel,” says Marius. “There is a school nearby too which is important to us with our little boy on the way.

“Before we put our deposit down we went and had lunch in one of the local pubs to get a feel for the place and we found everyone was very friendly and welcoming.”

The couple reserved their dream home in August and were able to personalise the property before moving in thanks to a goodwill gesture from Taylor Wimpey – a £5,000 interior Options voucher!

“We thought Taylor Wimpey’s range of upgrades was very good and we used the voucher to choose our kitchen, carpets, flooring and tiles,” explains Marius.

With a spacious kitchen and a large garden, the couple are now looking forward to enjoying many years of relaxed family life in their beautiful new home!

Marius says: “We love the size of the kitchen – there’s plenty of room for us to have a dining table so that we can sit down and enjoy meal times together.

“The house is a corner plot so it feels quite intimate with a sense of privacy and we’ve got an extensive garden which will be perfect for our little boy to play in as he gets older.

“We also like the fact that we’ve got three toilets; the downstairs cloakroom, the main bathroom and our en-suite – having a toilet on the ground-floor is handy for when we have visitors!”

From their very first visit to the development to receiving their keys and beyond, Marius and Alina have been bowled over by the fantastic customer service from Taylor Wimpey.

“Our experience of buying houses in the past has never been this straightforward,” says Marius. “Paula and Gill in the sales office were really, really helpful and professional – they were brilliant! Every time we had a question they were ready to answer it and it really did feel as though they were working for us which meant the whole process was pleasant and relaxed.”

There are now only two homes left at the beautiful Meadow Fields development, including the fabulous four-bedroom ‘Avondale’ showhome, now on sale for just £365,995, and the stunning ‘Langdale’, available for only £367,995.

Nestled between an established residential area and attractive open countryside, Meadow Fields benefits from an enviable location close to Bidford-on-Avon’s array of local amenities, including shops, pubs and places to eat.

The new homes are just seven miles from Stratford-upon-Avon to the east and Evesham to the south, putting a wealth of high street stores, restaurants, leisure facilities and entertainment opportunities within easy reach.

Bidford-on-Avon C of E Primary School – whose pupils chose the name for the Meadow Fields development – lies right on the doorstep and is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted. Meanwhile, secondary schooling can be found in Stratford, including the highly-regarded King Edward VI School for boys and Stratford Girls’ Grammar School.
