THE garden of a Bewdley cottage, which features information on the Arley Ferry, can be viewed as part of the town's open studio event.

David and Penny Griffiths will be displaying photographs at Dunfloodin, 5, Dog Lane, on Saturday and Sunday.

Mr Griffiths has installed the prow of the ferry in the garden as a water feature.

The Open Studios event is organised by the friends of Bewdley Museum and gives people the chance to discover the work of talented artists in their home and studios.

The ferry boat, which went into service in 1952, was built by Bathhurst of Tewkesbury. It was replaced by a bridge at Arley in 1972 and spent its remaining years moored along the north quay in Bewdley until 1998.
