A LECTURER in complementary therapies and ancient spirituality from Bewdley has had her first book published.
Mrs Darley’s Whispers, by Carole Carlton, explores the origins of the folklore and legends behind well known festivals. Woven throughout the book is the character of Mrs Darley, based on a real person the author encountered.
Ms Carlton said: “She led me on a magical journey of self discovery when I was living next door to her on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall during the early 1990s.”
The book provides a detailed description of the eight major Pagan festivals as they fall chronologically though the year, while developing the story of Mrs Darley.
Ms Carlton has previously lived in Spain, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia and still travels abroad to teach.
The book is available through bookshops or Amazon online. The author can be contacted through www.paganwhispers.co.uk
