A RADICAL art exhibition is being held in Kidderminster Library.

The artwork includes photography, paintings, collages, sculptures and digital art, produced by a group called Clowns in Trees.

Artist Corina Harper, said: “The theme is seeing something sinister in something that would usually be seen as pretty or harmless.

“We use a lot of dolls and toys in the exhibition.

“Clowns are also a good example of how something childlike can be quite scary.”

One piece of artwork takes “public hate figures” such as Gary Glitter and Joseph Fritzl and portrays them as B-Movie monsters.

There are also detailed robotic metal sculptures and customised instruments on display.

Miss Harper said: “There’s such a wide range of art and it’s quite a revolutionary exhibition for Kidderminster.

“It could be viewed as controversial, but it’s something that people should definitely come and see.”

The exhibition is being held in the gallery on the third floor of the library until August 4.
