FANS of the female classical group Mediaeval Baebes have been inspired by their ethereal music to make their own medieval landscape in Hartlebury.
Garden landscapers Keith and Fran Southall have been fans of the Baebes for many years and created a medieval folly at Whitlenge Gardens as a tribute.
With the Baebes performing at Bewdley Festival next month, the couple hope one of the singers has time to visit the folly.
Keith became interested in local history after discovering that Whitlenge Gardens has a Saxon lease dated to AD969. It is said that Saxon blood caused Worcestershire soil to run red.
The Mediaeval Baebes will be appearing at Bewdley Festival on Thursday, October 11 at the Mercure Hotel.
The Baebes, who will release their seventh studio album The Huntress next month, use original ancient texts and old classical instruments to create magical and ethereal music.
