Eggstra special events

FUN-filled activities at Worcestershire County Council's County Museum will make for an eggs-traordinary Easter for youngsters.

Traditional games and competitions will run at the Hartlebury Castle-based museum throughout the Easter holiday.

On Saturday, visitors can learn about the work of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

Meanwhile, families can get up close to a range of creatures from the creepy- crawly to the cute and fluffy on Easter Sunday and Monday.

Rachel Robinson, the county council's visitor services officer, said: "This will be a very busy week of family fun at the museum."

The fun will continue throughout next week with a host of activities taking place each day, including paper marbling, spring hats, Easter window making, egg decorating and tasty seasonal treats served up in the scullery.

Events taking place on Saturday through to Monday start at 11am until 5pm.

From Tuesday until Friday next week, activities run from 10.30am until 4.30pm. For details, call 01299 250416.
