Award-winning writer to visit Bewdley

AN award-winning crime writer has accepted an invitation from Bewdley Festival to speak at a literary lunch.

Ann Cleeves, accepted the invitation two days after the London publication of her book, White Nights.

It is the sequel to, Raven Black, the second book in her Shetlands Quartet.

The writer will be at Bewdley Books at 11am on Saturday, followed by a literary lunch at Kateshill House, in Bewdley.

Kathryn Key, the chairman of Bewdley Festival Society, said it was a real "coup" to get Ann Cleeves to come to Bewdley so soon after the London launch of her latest book.

Tickets for the lunch can be obtained by contacting, 01299 403617.
