EGGS-citing family events are on offer on the Severn Valley Railing during the Easter holidays.

Visitors will be able to step back in time with a steam-train ride along the Kidderminster to Bridgnorth line with daily services running from Saturday to Sunday, April 27.

Families will have the chance to take part in a quiz to spot the chicks and bunnies along the length of the line and a colouring competition with prizes including an SVR Annual Family Pass worth £120.

People who would like to find out more about the railway can visit The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley, which is home to a collection of reserve locomotives, majestic royal carriages, family-friendly interactive exhibits and railway-themed children’s outdoor play area.

The Coalyard Miniature Railway will be running on selected dates at Kidderminster station during the Easter holidays.

Children’s favourites Peppa Pig and George will also appear at intervals during this year’s family fun weekend on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11.
