BOX office hit Mamma Mia will entertain around 1,000 people in Kidderminster as part of a free family event.

The outdoor cinema experience will come to Brinton Park on Saturday, August 30, and visitors are encouraged to dress up and sing along to the classic Abba songs.

Wyre Forest District Council has organised the event, which will also feature live performances, competitions and a range of food and drink stalls.

Conservative councillor Anne Hingley, cabinet member for heath, wellbeing and housing, at the local authority, said: “The outdoor cinema experience was a great success last year as it brought a huge community together.

“We are encouraging everyone to sort out their fancy dress and make it a fantastic way to finish Wyre Forest’s action-packed summer of activities style dance classes led by a qualified instructor.

Activities will be starting at 5pm and the film is scheduled to be screened at 8pm.
