THE Classical Music Society has announced their new President, in succession to the late Lyndon Jenkins.
The acclaimed international concert pianist, Mark Bebbington, is to take over the role.
He first performed for the society over 25 years ago, but in recent years he has been singled out as a “British pianist of the rarest refinement and maturity” and increasingly recognised as a champion of British music.
Over the last decade, Mark has toured extensively throughout the UK, Central and Northern Europe, as well as the Far East and North Africa. His latest overseas adventure saw a highly successful Carnegie Hall debut with Leon Botsein and the American Symphony.
