WORCESTERSHIRE artist Jacqui Worrall is holding her first exhibition of Batik at a Stourport gallery.
Filling the Clock Gallery and Cafe, in New Street, with colour, Jacqui will be introducing the town to Batik - an ancient craft from Java using hot wax and dye vats on natural fabric, building up layers to produce an image. A piece of batik has often been dyed and waxed many times, before the wax is finally removed showing the finished piece.
The exhibition will run for the next two weeks at the Clock Gallery and Cafe, which is open from Tuesday to Saturday.
Owner of the gallery, Suzi Whinder-Cartwright, said: "It's a lovely, colourful exhibition of work to start the summer season."
