A GALA will take place at West Midland Safari Park on Sunday to help raise funds for the Little Princess Trust.

The Gala will be a celebration of the golden age of Hollywood, with fizz, canapes, dancing, West End performances, silent auction, performances from Zennor Dance Academy and live music.

Performances will include West End stars Charlotte Gooch - from Top Hat, Dirty Dancing, Grease and Cats - Lisa Bridge - from Bend it like Beckham and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - and Adam Philpott - from Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and Mamma Mia.

Organiser, Ceri White, said: "Five years ago we came across the Little Princess Trust, a charity which supports and helps children suffering with cancer - a time in which they are at their most vulnerable.

"Cancer is a wicked disease, in which age is never a factor. I, like many others, have seen the affects it has on someone close and it is heartbreaking to watch. The unfair truth is that many of these children are not old enough to understand what is happening.

"This is where the Little Princess Trust steps in. They provide beautiful real hair wigs, that can be made as an exact replica of the hair they are losing or have already lost, at no cost to the families.

"This makes a huge difference, and without all our support they cannot continue to make these precious wigs and more importantly, make an impact in these children's lives.

"The work this amazing charity does is vast, and they can only continue with your help and support. So come along and enjoy an evening that is sure to be as memorable as the last."

Tickets for the event on Sunday, May 1, from 7pm, at West Midland Safari Park are £35.
