FOLLOWING last year’s record-breaking production of Aladdin, Birmingham Hippodrome has announced the line-up for this year’s must-see pantomime, Dick Whittington.

John Barrowman, Steve McFadden, the Krankies and Matt Slack will lead the cast in the production with runs between December 19 and January 29, 2017.

John Barrowman will take on the title role of hero Dick Whittington. The popular showman last appeared at the Hippodrome in the 2008/09 pantomime Robin Hood and has enjoyed an acclaimed career including music, presenting and writing with performances on television and film, in the West End and on Broadway.

Eastenders star Steve McFadden will be telling a different ‘tail’ this Christmas starring as the evil King Rat, determined to outwit Dick Whittington.

Joining John and Steve will be the double act the Krankies who have entertained audiences for more than 50 years and for the fourth year running Hippodrome favourite Matt Slack in the role of Idle Jack. Also returning after last year’s appearance is favourite panto dame Andrew Ryan.

Dick Whittington runs at Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday, December 19, to Sunday, January 29, 2017.

Tickets are priced from £15.50 and can be booked on 0844 3385000 or from birminghamhippodrome.com.
