On Friday (August 12) residents can join Kidderminster Male Choir at St Michael's Church, in Rushock, for a musical candlelit tribute to local legend, John Bonham.

From Saturday (August 13) and running through the week, Peter Barber will be returning to Kidderminster to create giant size paintings promoting the town's musical heritage at the entrance to Weavers Wharf, through Vicar Street.

Also on Saturday, take the family along to Kidsfest at St George's Park, in Radford Avenue, and get stuck into a great of family entertainment.

There is also street theatre continuing on Saturday's throughout the month. Children, old and young, will be enthralled to see an owl and a pussycat trying to write a song in Kidderminster Town Hall and there are choices of shows.

Councillor Sally Chambers, Wyre Forest District Council cabinet member for health, well-being and housing, said: "This year's KAF is all about the language of music. Feedback from music lovers and families says that residents and visitors are loving the line-up of live music, theatre and film.

"Take a few moments to look through the programme to find something that will brighten up August for you and your family - most of the events are free."
