ANOTHER weekend of fun is on the horizon at Kidderminster Arts Festival.

The sounds of ELO, Kool and the Gang, The Doors, Willie Mitchell and Jefferson Airplane will be among those included in a performance of ‘Acceptable in the ‘70s’.

Presented by the Being Frank Physical Dance Company, the Saturday, August 20, show will begin at 12 noon from Kidderminster Town Hall and through the town centre.

Local dancers will also join in a performance to Led Zeppelin.

The 70s theme continues later that evening as Kidderminster Male Voice Choir perform their programme of beats from the 60s and 70s at the Rose Theatre from 7.30pm.

Also that day, families are invited to head off to the Town Hall for a beautiful rendition of The Owl and the Pussycat’s Treasury of Nonsense based on one of Lear’s most loved poems.

The show, which is presented by The Soap Soup Theatre, is set to be an unpredictable story with clowning, puppetry and magical music.

Tickets cost £5 with a family ticket available for £18 and can be booked from wyreforestdc.gov.uk/bookings.

Cllr Sally Chambers, Wyre Forest District Council Cabinet Member for Health, Well-being and Housing said: "This year’s KAF is focused on the language of music which has provided huge scope for creativity and engagement for residents and visitors of all ages.

"There has been a wonderful line-up of live music, theatre and film over the month of the festival.

"There is another two weeks of KAF to go so take a moment to look at the line-up and book something different to entertain your friends and family– most of the events are free.”

A full line-up and tickets can be viewed from kidderminsterartsfestival.org.uk.

You can also buy tickets at the Town Hall in Kidderminster and the Tourist Information Centre in Bewdley.
