A POPULAR Bewdley artist whose work is exhibited in galleries around the world is to host new creative courses in her studio.

Hilary Baker will be hosting workshops in blocks of four on alternative Saturdays from 10.30am until 3pm from her studio at Bewdley Museum, to help students develop their skills in drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking.

The course is aimed at people of all abilities, from beginners to more experienced artists.

Hilary, who also works as an education consultant, has had her work collected and commissioned worldwide, including the National Portrait Gallery in London.

She previously ran classes in the town and has decided to start them up again now that she has the time.

She said: “My son Nick is off to Japan for his gap year so I will suddenly have more time in the studio both for my own work and to begin to teach again.

“It will be fabulous to work with past and new students – it will be good art therapy for me too!”

The first set of four workshops will begin on Saturday September 10, then 24th September 24, October 8 and October 22 from 10.30am to 3pm.

The cost of each course of four week workshops is £48 and includes materials and refreshments.
