POPULAR Wyre Forest wrestling troop HCW will be bringing a family-friendly night of pro-wrestling to the St Ambrose Parish Centre on Saturday (September 30).

The all action four bout line-up is headlined by a six man tag team bout that puts Kidderminster-based rookie Nick Flag joining forces with local legend Jonny Rose, known as Mr No.1, and pro Lewis Blain, against the rule bending trio of the Foxcatcher, Honky Tonk Tommy and masked American veteran Cruel Connection.

Nick Flag (Matt Stephenson) said: "It is an honour to be wrestling in such a high profile match just minutes from where I grew up.

"Jonny and Lewis have both been like mentors to me in the short time I have been wrestling so to team with them is huge for me.

"We will be across the ring from a dangerous team, I watched Cruel Connection on television as a child and have been watching a lot of his bouts on the WWE Network - this guy knows what he is doing."

In other bouts, Josh Smith returns from a break in Benidorm to tangle with Canadian Matt Adams.

Matt added: "This match will be no holiday for him, he will wish he was still on the beach."

The event at the Birmingham Road venue kicks-off at 7.30pm and will also feature an Australian tag team contest and international solo bout featuring Japan's Blue Tiger II.
