ORGANISERS of Bewdley Festival are hosting a volunteers evening next week for people interested in getting involved in the 10 day event.
The Festival Volunteers Evening will be held at St George’s Hall café, Bewdley on Monday, June 4 at 7pm.
Bewdley Festival is run entirely by volunteers and the evening will allow current and new helpers to get involved in this year’s celebration of music, comedy, drama and discussions.
Festival chairman Trevor Price said: “If people are interested in joining our volunteers we would like to invite them to come along, have a glass of something and find out more about what is involved.
“If people know somebody who they think could be interested, please let them know about the evening.
“It is critical we have new volunteers to ensure continuity of the Festival for future years and everyone will be assured of a warm welcome.
“It would greatly help us if interested people could let the Festival Office know they are intending to attend by calling 01299 404808 or emailing admin@bewdleyfestival.org.uk.”
This year’s event kicks off on October 12 with former Fine Young Cannibals frontman Roland Gift and his band performing at Mercure Bewdley Heath Hotel.
Other performers through the week include Max Keene, James Acaster, Jeremy Vine, Eddi Reader and Lesley Smith.
Tickets are available on-line at www.bewdleyfestival.org.uk or from Bewdley Tourist Information.
