A ROCK band from Bewdley will play to 10,000 Paul Weller fans, at Birmingham’s LG Arena, this week.

Naked Remedy will play before and after the singer’s concert in the arena’s new entertainment zone, ForumLive on Friday, November 26.

The three-piece band formed in February last year and is made up of frontman and drummer Dave Small and guitarists Tom Callinswood and Nav Sahota.

The group were crowned the winners of Worcester’s Got Talent 2009, held at Sin Bar.

They also won Volkswagen Van Fest’s battle of the bands competition, at the Three Counties Show Ground, in Malvern, with a unanimous vote.

They played the opening set at the Worcester Music Festival and the fireworks show at Worcester City Football Club.

Manager Zeena Lemon said they are already being hailed as ones to watch for 2011.

She said: “Naked Remedy’s blend of garage rock and psychedelic blues are winning them fans across the region. They play mainly their own music but do an absolutely storming cover of You’ve Got The Love by Candi Staton.”

She added: “Dave is a young Mick Jagger and they are a super talented group.”

Lead singer, Dave Small said: “It’s pretty exciting, we obviously want to make the most of the opportunity and make a good impression."

He added: “We have played with bands like Velvet Revolver and Status Quo but this will be the biggest crowd and I think we can win them over.”
