MUSIC fans and line dancers will be getting their cowboy hats and boots at the ready for Stourport’s two-day Country and Western Festival.
The annual festival, organised by Wyre Forest District Council, will take place at Stourport Riverside on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18.
Dancing, family fun and music will be on offer from noon to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
The festival features performances by Jonny Holland, Alan Gregory and Tony Rouse on Saturday and Richard Palmer, Donna Wylde and Magill on Sunday.
There will also be line dancing tuition throughout the weekend and a country and western music road show.
Other attractions include a fast draw shoot out, face painting, food and trade stalls and the riverside leisure park including children’s play area.
Councillor John Campion, Leader of Wyre Forest District Council, said: “This promises to be a great weekend of country and western music and dancing.
“There is a fantastic line-up of internationally renowned acts. Stourport Riverside will be a sea of dancers and everyone can join in.
“Entry is completely free, so we’re encouraging residents and visitors to come down and enjoy the music.”
Overnight camping is also available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and is available by emailing amy.smith@wyreforestdc.gov.uk or calling 01562 732975
