A KIDDERMINSTER band are back with their new single featuring jazz saxophonist Alvin Davis.

The Dale Von Minaker Band have teamed up with Davis, who has worked with Edwin Starr, Nigel Kennedy and Neville Staple of The Specials, on their latest track Romance.

It is their first single since debut album You Are Here was released last year.

Romance is a mix of pop, blues, 50’s doo-wop and jazz. Singer-songwriter Dale said: “This track is a game-changer for us and holds true to our vision of challenging musical styles and ourselves to try and create truly great, far-reaching pop songs with our unique signature sound, rather than constantly doing just one thing forever.”

The band have also teamed up with award-winning young artist Francis Martin for the cover artwork.

The track was produced by Horsefair Records in partnership with MAS Records and was recorded at The Forge studios for Monochrome Productions in Wormleighton, in Warwickshire.

Last year ended on a high for the four-piece who supported Madness at The LG Arena in Birmingham.

They’ve spent the year playing gigs up and down the country and are back in the studio in November.

Dale Von Minaker is joined by Gaz Gibbons on bass, Steve Smith on drums and Nick Sellers on keyboard.

The single goes on sale on November 8 and will be available as a limited edition at dvmband.bandcamp.com
