ELVIS fans will have the chance to see the King in his prime when a new stage show comes to Kidderminster Town Hall.

Mark Summers, who is this year's National Tribute Award winner, will be starring in Elvis, the Movies Experience, on Friday.

Mark has toured worldwide as Elvis Presley, working with members of his original band as well as close friends and family.

The show is described as a step back to the Golden age of Hollywood when Elvis broke into the movies, with no jumpsuits in sight.

A full cast including band, dancers, and a Priscilla Presley tribute will be performing some of Elvis' greatest movie hits including Jailhouse Rock, King Creole, GI Blues, Blue Hawaii and Viva Las Vegas.

The show will take the audience on a journey from the 1956 Ed Sullivan Television appearances through Elvis' career.

Mark, who has been a life-long Elvis fan, said: "I used to watch the Elvis movies with my Mum, I loved them then I started asking more about Elvis so out came the old records, wow I was hooked. Then one night they were showing ‘Elvis That’s The Way It Is’ I had never seen anyone with so much charisma."

Mark has been also been invited to perform in Memphis in August and will be touring the UK this year with this new show after a successful premier in London's West End.

Larry Geller, a close friend and Elvis' hairdresser, has endorsed Mark as a tribute artist.

He said: "His stage presence is powerful and captivating and listening to Mark Summers sing is a rare treat, not only does his voice capture the beauty and magic of Elvis, but, it's his movements, reflecting the nuances and subtleties of Elvis I've never seen in any one else before."
