FOLLOWING the short-sharp-shock of their double-bill introduction with the tracks ‘Parasite’ and ‘Do You Know Me?’, London-based alt-rock band Vant will be hitting a West Midlands stage.

Stopping off at Birmingham's The Sunflower Lounge, on Friday, October 3, on the DIY Presents Tour alongside Inheaven and The Big Moon.

The tour will see each band taking turns to close each show, with Vant headlining in Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle and London.

Fronted by charismatic vocalist/guitarist Mattie Vant and completed by Henry Eastham, on guitars/vocals, Billy Morris, on bass, and Martin Söderin, on drums, Vant has been compared to The Pixies with echoes of Queens of the Stone Age, yet frontman Mattie Vant takes influences from a vast spectrum of musical genres which are then all condensed into two-and-a-half-minute onslaughts.

The four-piece has enjoyed an incredible 2015 so far with shows as support to the likes of Royal Blood and Hinds, as well as receiving extensive airplay from BBC Radio 1, XFM and 6Music for their debut tracks ‘Parasite’ and ‘Do You Know Me?’.

A debut album release is expected from Vant next year.
