AN AWARD-WINNING musician and her band will entertain country fans with a mix of original songs and covers in Kidderminster on Friday night.

Emerging singer/songwriter Emma Swindells, from Wolverhampton, will perform alongside her band at St Georges Social Club, in Radford Avenue, tomorrow night on Friday (January 8) with a repertoire of traditional, modern and self-penned country songs.

Having performed gigs all around the country, including Wolvestock Country Music Festival, in 2015, Emma will continue to play more gigs and festivals in 2016 and is set to release an EP early this year.

She was recently announced the winner of “Best Newcomer in 2015” at the W21 Music Awards. She was also nominated for the same title at last year’s British Country Music Awards.

The band now regularly hosts the ‘Wolverhampton Country Nights’ at Bantock House, in Wolverhampton.

Tickets are £6 and doors open at 7.30pm. Music will begin at 8pm.
