A JAZZ vocalist is to celebrate 100 years of Ella Fitzgerald with a performance in Stourport.

Annette Gregory, backed by her band, will celebrate the wonderful contribution to jazz music made by Ella Fitzgerald, with music from various songbooks.

Annette reflects on Ella's earlier career, through the decades via the songbook albums that Ella Fitzgerald one of the greatest icons of jazz with the title "The First Lady of Song".

Annette has been singing for many years in different bands and it was a chance encounter which led to her joining a community jazz band as their principal vocalist which set her on the road to becoming a jazz singer.

The performance takes place at the Civic, in Stourport, on Saturday, June 17.
