WYRE Forest Symphony Orchestra's next concert will see their young conductor, Dan Watson, take to the podium for the last time after four seasons.
The concert takes place at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, December 2, from 7.30pm.
It will feature Dan for the last time due to the impending arrival of his first child - a few days after the concert - with wife, Sally.
A spokesman said: "We will miss him, of course, but he leaves us with our very best wishes and thanks for his inspirational work with us.
"Normally, the programme content is decided by the committee, but to thank him for his dedicated work on the podium, we gave Dan a free hand to select his own programme.
"And he came up with a cracker: Smetana's wonderful evocation of a river in all its moods in Die Moldau and Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake Ballet Suite and Symphony No5."
