A BEWDLEY church will be continuing its ‘Music in the Chapel’ concerts with a piano recital next month.
Composer, conductor, soloist and accompanist Tony Bridgewater will be playing music by Bach, Mozart and Beethoven at Bewdley Methodist Church in the High Street.
His show, which has been sponsored by Phillips International Travel, will take place on Saturday, March 10 at 2.30pm.
A former student at the Birmingham School of Music and St John’s College Cambridge, Tony has composed music for orchestra, concert band and choir, and sonatas for piano, violin, trumpet and cello.
In 2014 he became a Trustee of the Birmingham Conservatoire Association and is a member of the Conservatoire Development Council supporting the development of the new Royal Birmingham Conservatoire at Millennium Point.
Amongst his regular recitals he also finds time to act as principal accompanist of Kidderminster Male Choir.
All funds raised will go to towards the church’s outreach and community activities.
Tickets for the concert cost £8, including light refreshments and can be booked with Mike Dernie on 01299 400284 or email: mikedernie@aol.com. They can also be booked by calling Neil Sollom on 07780 650491 email: neilsollom@btinternet.com
