ACCLAIMED rocker Terry Reid will be performing a special intimate show at a Stourport venue next week.

The Swan has confirmed that the singer and guitarist, who has performed with a host of legends, will be playing an acoustic set on Sunday, March 18.

Terry was a member of the Jaywalkers, who supported The Rolling Stones and Cream during the 1960s.

He almost joined Led Zeppelin but turned down the offer as he was committed to touring with the Stones. Instead, he recommended founder Jimmy Page check out a singer by the name of Robert Plant instead.

As well as a stellar solo career, Terry has performed with the likes of Don Henley, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and UFO.

Matt Worley, from The Swan, said: “We have had it confirmed that on Sunday March 18, the legend that is Terry Reid is coming to the Swan to perform an intimate one off acoustic set for us.

“This is not part of a tour, Terry is over from the states briefly and has kindly agreed to drop in and play for us. This really is a night not to be missed.”

Limited tickets, priced at £15 will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, March 7) and will be available from Matt via https://www.facebook.com/worleysswan/ or by calling 01299 877832.
