KIDDERMINSTER Male Choir is holding a fund-raising concert for a Polish hospice after recently returning from a tour of the country.
The summer concert will take place at St Mary’s Church, Kidderminster, next Saturday at 7.30pm.
The choir will be joined by the Singleton Singers from Swansea, comprising mainly nurses and staff from the city’s Singleton Hospital.
While touring Poland, the male choir performed a concert for a hospice in Gydnia, which has more than 1,000 patients and relies on donations to keep running.
The show at St Mary’s Church will also raise money for the hospice, after the choir was inspired by the “welcoming and friendly people” there.
John Watkins, social secretary, said: “Kidderminster has a large Polish community, some of whom have connections with Gydnia, so it was felt it would be appropriate to donate the proceeds of the St Mary’s concert to the hospice.”
Tickets are available from 01562 751923.
