SENSATIONAL feel-good musical, Mamma Mia, has burst onto the stage at Birmingham Hippodrome this summer for its first ever UK tour.

Thanks to a fantastic cast, great acting, simple but effective sets and faultless dancing, you feel as if you are transported to the sunny Greek island.

Most will know the story by now, following the hit 2008 film of the same, with its all-star cast including Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. To date, the show has been seen by more than 60 million people in 49 productions in 16 languages.

Mamma Mia is Judy Craymer’s ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of Abba’s timeless songs with enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolding on a Greek island paradise.

Sophie’s quest to discover the father she has never known brings her mother face to face with three men from her distant romantic past on the eve of a wedding they will never forget.

The show is irresistibly funny and you can easily see why it has been thrilling audiences all around the world.

It is humorous and playful and will have you laughing at loud, but the show is also very moving – transporting you through an array of emotions felt between friends, family and lovers as the drama unfolds on an idyllic Greek island.

And there’s always chance to have a dance in your seat to some Abba classics including ‘Money, Money, Money’, ‘SOS’, ‘Lay All Your Love On Me’, ‘Does Your Mother Know You’re Out’ and, of course, ‘Mamma Mia’.

The show will run at the Birmingham Hippodrome until September 3.
