Britain's Got Talent act Lettice Rowbotham has revealed she has crowned her new fans "Lettice Leaves".

The "posh" electric violinist won over all four judges - Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams - on the ITV show, as well as hosts Ant and Dec, with her take on three chart tunes on the latest episode on April 19.

"It's been absolutely incredible. I've been waking up pinching myself. It's lovely to hear from friends I haven't heard from for a long time but it's a really lovely feeling," she admitted.

And the 24-year-old from Surrey has already given her fans a moniker, following in the footsteps of pop stars such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and One Direction.

"All these lovely people on Twitter and Instagram, I've started calling them 'Lettice Leaves'. Lady Gaga has her name for her fans, and I'm not as big as Lady Gaga but I thought it would be quite funny to have my Lettice Leaves," she said.

Lettice, who is waiting to hear if she has made it to the live semi-finals, laughed off the claims that she is "posh".

"Being called posh is funny. I've never tried to be posh and I don't think my family are posh - we're just hard-working artists. We're all quite hippy and we have a lot of love. We're not a stuck-up family," she said.

The Royal College of Music graduate, who has played for Prince Charles and Russian president Vladimir Putin at his daughter's wedding and has performed with Olly Murs, said she was encouraged to audition for Britain's Got Talent by her younger sisters Bunty and Felicity.

"My little sister loves the show as much as I do, and she really wanted me to go on it, so she just picked me up from a party one day and said, 'You're going on the show today'," she recalled. "She had kindly organised it all so I just turned up with my best friend and my little sister. It was an incredible day, probably one of the best days of my life."

Talking about the positive feedback, Lettice continued: " It's really shocking actually. I love David Walliams - Little Britain is amazing. Simon Cowell is such a dude, so it's very cool. Their comments really gave me an incredible boost and to have a standing ovation really blew me away. I got the best buzz ever."

Lettice admitted she once threw a strop when she was little, when she was given a plastic violin.

"I wanted to learn (the violin) when I was three, and when I was finally given a violin at four, it was plastic so I was very angry. My parents very kindly bought me a real one because they felt bad and I just played and played," she recalled.

She said her passion for the instrument has grown throughout the years.

"It was a massive part of my life since I was four. I couldn't imagine life without my violin," she continued.

"I never force myself to play when I'm not feeling like it. I think it's important to always have it as a passion and an inspiring thing that you get up to, rather than a job. And although music is my job, I always try to enjoy it as much as I can."
