SHAKESPEARE’S tragic love story Romeo and Juliet will be performed at Hartlebury Castle on Friday in the open air.
The play will be performed by Heartbreak productions who are renowned for bringing classics to life.
The story follows star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet as they fall victim to family hatred.
It’s set to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions, masks, dance, blades, potions and poetry with a modern twist.
Jacqui Watson, of Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust, said: “Hartlebury is the perfect back drop for a Shakespeare classic.
“It will really help set the scene and allow the audience to become completely absorbed by the play. The carriage circle is completely open, so let’s hope for a warm summers evening.
“We are encouraging people to get along as early as they can to secure a good pitch and guests are more than welcome to bring their own chairs/rugs.
“It may be smart to bring along a waterproof or a hat and sunglasses depending on the weather.”
Picnics are also on offer that can be purchased in advance or on the night.
