KIDDERMINSTER’S Holy Trinity International School will be coming alive with the sound of music for their next production.

More than 30 students will be taking to the stage for three performances of the musical from next Thursday to Saturday, November 23.

Produced and directed by the school's deputy headteacher and head of music Vikki Vincent, the cast have been learning their lines and lyrics for months and have been practicing together since the spring.

Mrs Vincent said: "Every performer involved in this production has worked continually since casting took place. Previous productions have been amazing, and we anticipate that yet again our audiences won't be disappointed.”

The Sound of Music, written by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein, was based on a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.

The performers will be encouraging audience members to sing-along to songs including My Favourite Things, Maria and Climb Every Mountain.

The performances will be taking place next Thursday, Friday, November 22, and a matinee on Saturday, November 23 at 2.30pm.
