GANGSTERS and molls will be taking a trip to Fat Sam's Grand Slam for Wolverley CE Secondary School's upcoming musical.
More than 60 pupils have been busy rehearsing for Bugsy Malone which will take place at the school from Wednesday, February 26 to Friday, February 28.
Set in a 1920s cabaret restaurant, the audience will be sat around a cocktail bar among waiters, gangsters and showmen, to make them feel part of the show.
Rehearsals have been taking place three nights a week since the beginning of the year with the help of head of drama Jonathan Round.
Mark Pollard, acting headteacher, said: "The musicals that our pupils put on are always extremely popular with the students, staff and parents and we are hoping that people from the local community, who may not have children or grandchildren at the school, will also come and enjoy the show.
“At Wolverley School we are passionate about encouraging our students’ ambitions, and as the film Bugsy Malone launched the careers of some of the UK’s and Hollywood’s tops stars, we may have a future Jodie Foster performing in our show."
