THE rumour mill is churning at Kidderminster's Rose Theatre for the return of the Once Removed Theatre Company.

The company will be performing Rumours, a farce written by Neil Simon from next Thursday to Saturday, March 22.

The British version of the riotously funny farce revolves around the efforts of invited party guests to save their host and themselves from a serious scandal.

First on the scene is Ken, who discovers Charley, a prominent Government official, in his bedroom too dazed to speak with a suspected bullet wound to his head.

Meanwhile Charley’s wife, Vivian, and their domestic help have disappeared.

As the belated guests arrive with tales of car crashes, in both their literal and marital lives, a second gun shot is heard.

When the police intervene straws are drawn as to who should pretend to be Charley and invent a plausible explanation to detract from the evening’s goings on.
