THE studio of the Rose Theatre is the perfect setting for the intimate and dynamic play ‘Two’ by Jim Cartwright.
Starring the versatile talents of Sinead Maffei and Stephen Fletcher, who between them play the warring landlord and landlady of a northern pub and all who “ale in her”.
The 14 characters in Cartwright’s play takes you on a journey of self and relationships with hilarity, innocence, arrogance and sadness, evoking a sublime pathos that grips the imagination and is sure to touch a nerve in anyone who sees it.
Author of such plays as ‘Road’ and ‘The Rise and Fall of Little Voice’, Cartwright is not afraid to explore the murky, grey areas of life.
The play runs at the Rose Theatre in Chester Road North, from Monday, April 20, to Saturday, April 25.
Tickets are £9 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01562 743745 or on the website www.rosetheatre.co.uk.
