FINAL preparations are underway at Hartlebury Castle, as new owners Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust prepare to welcome their latest guest, ‘the stinkiest stinker who ever lived’.

Visitors are invited to pack a picnic and join an evening of family fun and laughter on Thursday, July 30, when the colourful characters from the celebrated novel by David Walliams will come to life in Heartbreak Productions’ adaptation of Mr. Stink for the open air.

Jacqui Watson, vice chairman for the Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust, said; "We are absolutely delighted at how popular the production is proving. Advance ticket sales are tremendous and it is a real treat for us to be able to offer Hartlebury visitors an opportunity to see a production that is selling out nationally."

Packed with fun, humour and a heart-warming message, this brand new adaptation of Mr. Stink is suitable for the whole family to enjoy together and is the perfect ‘end of term’ treat.

The performance will start at 6.30pm, with doors opening at 5pm for audience members to set up their picnic rugs and chairs. The performance will take place outside in the castle's carriage circle and food and drink will also be available to buy.

Tickets cost £14 for adults and £7.50 for concessions. Audience members can also reserve a gazebo pitch before the day for £5. To book tickets, call Worcestershire County Museum on 01299 250416. A limited amount of tickets may also be available on a first-come first-serve basis on the door, but advance booking is recommended.
