YOU can follow the yellow brick road, over the rainbow and journey to the Rose Theatre for a fun-packed night of family entertainment.

The Rose Theatre’s resident group the Nonentities are branching out for residents with their new Christmas production of family favourite the Wizard of Oz.

All the favourite characters and iconic moments will be there, plus a few surprises along the way – and not just “lions and tigers and bears”.

Click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, the Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land, helped and hindered by the Witches of Oz, to meet the Wizard and find a heart, courage, brains, and most importantly, learn there truly is no place like home.

The Wizard of Oz is a heart-warming tale of magic and fantasy, good and evil, and family and friendship. Based on L. Frank Baum’s novel and the 1939 film, this musical adaption was originally produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company in London in 1987.

The Wizard of Oz will play at the Rose Theatre from Monday, November 30, to Saturday, December 5. A matinee performance will also be on the Saturday.
