BILSTON Operatic Company return to the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre next week with Our House.

The musical, featuring the music of Madness, opens on Tuesday (November 15), until Saturday, November 19.

Our House combines a witty and brilliantly-crafted romantic tale with the energetic and often madcap songs of Madness. It follows Joe Casey who, on the night of his 16th birthday, takes Sarah, the girl of his dreams, out on their first date.

In an effort to impress her with bravado, he breaks into a building site overlooking his home on Casey Street, which is owned by Mister Pressman, a high-end property developer. The police turn up, at which point Joe’s life splits into two: the good Joe, who stays to help, and bad Joe, who flees.

Bilston Operatic Company was established in 1927 and performed annually at the Theatre Royal, in Bilston, for 30 years, before moving to the Grand Theatre where they have performed ever since.

Productions in recent years have included Hairspray, Peter Pan and Annie.

Tickets for Our House are on sale at the box office on 01902 429 212 or by visiting grandtheatre.co.uk.
