A PERFORMING arts school from Kidderminster will be marking its third year by putting on its biggest ever musical.

The seniors section of Talking Props will perform Legally Blonde at The Civic Theatre Hall in Stourport in July next year

The cast will be led by Rubi Bown, who plays Elle Woods. Rubi has been a member of the studio since day one when it opened in 2014.

Other cast members include, Molly Hipkins as Paulette and Jack Simpson as Emmett with Curtis Hawkes, another original member of the studio taking on the role of Professor Callahan, while his Sister Niamh will be debuting as Brooke in her first principle role.

It will be a busy time for the company as the junior students will be performing the Disney musical Aristocats at the same venue.

The company started out as a small one day a week after-school project but has now expanded to a seven-day-a-week purpose built studio running classes in musical theatre, ballet, acrobatics and acting.

Michael Neri, studio owner and director, said: “We have two outstanding casts this year for both our junior and senior production.

“Being our third birthday, we will be celebrating so you can expect two top class productions, as always.

“We will be performing at The Stourport Civic, which is a venue I’m proud to be using as it’s where I started performing many years ago and a place I call home.

“It’s run by volunteers for the community and without it my students and others in the Wyre Forest wouldn’t have a place to showcase their talents.”

Mr Neri added that they are still looking for more members to join the casts of each musical and anyone interest can call him on 07548 323 773 or visit the website www.talkingprops.co.uk
